How did you find out about HD in the family?

I was around 9 when my Grandad, Mum and uncle all tested HD positive. I didn't really know too much about what HD actually was, besides my Grandad being "clumsy" and starting to have trouble talking.

Did anyone else have a similar experience, or was it completely different for you?

@browneyes thanks for posting. Was there other people with HD in your extended family, too?

@browneyes apparently most of my Grandad's siblings had HD, but they were unaware at the time.

I was recently looking back at old videos and they HD was so obvious looking back now, but at the time they had all been "diagnosed" with varying ailments.

My mum tested positive not long after I was born. I believe it was 1993. My Grandfather had HD as well but died before I was born. My aunt died a few years ago.

Mum taught me from a very early age about HD and what to expect. I can still remember these weird but very educational cartoon leaflets she had given me to explain HD when I was around 10. But remember her speaking to me about it all at younger ages.
