I would like to know if you are diagnosed with Huntington's Disease is there a chance that you will never get any symptom's?
Hi natjev,
The onset of symptoms is dependent on your CAG repeat as Huntington’s disease is caused by a fault on one of these genes – the huntingtin gene which is on chromosome 4, a chromosome we all possess. This fault changes the way the body functions and for people with Huntington’s disease results in brain cell death. A healthy gene will contain 35 or less CAG repeats. Between 36-39 CAG repeats is considered a “grey area” as some people will develop symptoms of HD, others will not develop symptoms, and children of these people still have 50% risk of inheriting the disease. Repeats of 40 and above will unfortunately develop symptoms of HD at some point.
I have added a link below to Huntinton's Victoria website for further info on this.

I hope this helps.
Hi everyone. My husband is thinking of getting tested for huntingtons. We live in Geelong are there any places near us?
