Hi All,

Thanks for the warm welcome !

We started off on this journey only 3 years ago, and both of us are pretty good with smart technology, and I have 30 plus years of organizing people so of course, they have rolled over into our personal life.  I do have to be organized in my life, so sorry of this sounds all too much !  haha !

One of the first things I did, was to make up a folder, with sections in it, for referrals, appointments, results, and a note pad, so I could write down at appts what the plan is.  This helped us tremendously.  I know its not tech but it also works !  I also created a Medic alert card to go in my loved ones wallet, just in case, he was tongue tied of stuck, and I was not in sight - I will attach the image and this made him reassured .   Purchased it from Etsy - All our appointments go into our Google Calendar, and also on the written calender, but Google usually keeps me on track

1. I created a Note on my iphone and pinned it to the top and shared it with LO.  It has a current list of meds, strengths etc, as well as dates the meds changed.

2. I created a family group with our phones, as he sometimes forgets where he is, and I can find him by the gps locator in the phone.  Have used this more than once.  Was super easy to set up, but of course, it is good to know I can find him.  He is not inclined to wear a watch or device, but does remember his phone !!

3. Set up a Google Drive which I have shared with my adult kids - listing our Drs/Neuros/Endocrinologist, along with Medicines list, letters and referrals, anything related to his health and any other important documents in there so if I happen to leave my Orange Folder at home, its all there with me.   It is also important that if I should get sick etc, that someone else knows whats what.   I also have our POA's in there as well.

4. We have just installed smart switches in our home, and I have them on set timers, also if he goes to bed and forgets to turn off lights, I can do it from my room.  We have fans etc on remote access and timers.  Very easy to use.

5. The kids gave me a Google home, and I have set up talking reminders for medications - I do swap the message around so that it makes him listen.

6. Our last home we had swipe cards at the front door, instead of using keys as well.
